5th day of LCBW: To Cafe Lou Lou for a Bell's Brewery beer dinner.

If you are not already familiar with Bell's, you likely will be soon. Building on a quarter-century of excellence, Bell's Brewery recently announced a $52 million expansion for its production facility in Comstock, just outside Kalamazoo in Michigan.

Bell's representatives are coming to Louisville Craft Beer Week, and on Tuesday, September 28, Cafe Lou Lou is pairing several courses of its popular fare with legendary beers from Bell's. Appetizer – Bell’s Two Hearted
Kentucky Beer Cheese Trio – Spicy Kentucky style beer cheese made with Bell’s Two Hearted Ale & served with Crispy Country Ham and Skillet Corn Bread Crouton

Salad – Bell’s Oarsmen
Kentucky Bibb lettuce with shaved shallots, roasted fennel, herbed goat cheese Medallion & orange champagne vinaigrette

Soup – Bell’s Amber

Entrée – Trio of Bier de Garde – Le Batteur, Le Contrabassiste, Le Pianiste Beef Short Ribs braised in Bell’s Kalamazoo Stout & Veal Stock, over creamy Polenta with sautéed wild mushrooms and a smoked bleu cheese cream sauce

Dessert – Bell’s Batch 9000
Crème Brulee – Molasses & Caramelized Pears
